Aupair/grooms can expect to earn slightly more than a standard aupair as it can be hard work and in all weathers.

Where an aupair/groom has at least 75% of the time with the children and the aupairs riding skills are basic and you are just looking for mucking out, you can expect to pay the same or slightly more pocket money as an aupair. £70-£75 per week for 25hrs / £90-£95 per week for 35 hrs. If the aupair/grooms riding skills are good or you want a higher split with horses to children, please be prepared to offer more pocket money depending on the hours required, the age and riding skills of the applicant.

For a groom the grooms wages are around £7 to £8 per hour depending on riding skills and ability. Money can be deducted for room, board & lodgings at a reasonable level. personal allowance before having to pay Tax & NI is £8105
